D W Whitson Ltd is a small, family run business based at Howburn farm. The business is ran by David and his wife Hannah, along with other family members and local self-employed help as required. The background of the business has developed from essentially just supplying basic labour to local farmers and contractors.

The business later developed into Agriculture and Automotive repair after considerable time spent hands-on training, doing automotive, agriculture and plant repair. This means we have first hand knowledge of a lot of the agricultural parts we supply from having used them.

Since 2001 we have been supplying predominately Yara fertiliser to farms throughout North Cumbria. This fits in very well with other areas of our business covered above!
